The principles of art (or the principles of design) are the foundations that help us to understand how to make art. Artists organize the elements of art in painting and drawing. You could even say that the art making process is arranging these elements in a way that’s pleasing for the eye.
Understanding what these elements are can help us understand and analyze art. In other words, they can help us explain why we think good art is good. You can keep the principles of art in mind when you create your own artworks!

In our art classes, each student masters artistic techniques through the guidance of our accomplished teachers. The young artists of Priscilla & Tiffany's Art Academy learn the technical aspects of art as well as how to analyze art throughout history.
