A Studio for
Priscilla & Tiffany's Art Corp. is the best art studio for creative young minds. We opened our doors to the community in 1991. This makes us one of the oldest art studios in Miami-Dade. Throughout the years, we have helped many kids and teens become inspired and grow in the world of arts.
The instructors are carefully trained professionals who provide thought provoking and creative experiences to our students. In addition to having received a fine arts degrees from prestigious universities, our teachers have also held exhibitions of their own.
Priscilla & Tiffany's has promoted the arts in Miami for 26 years. We believe Art Education is an excellent way of teaching our youth about flexibility, problem solving, communication, innovation, and how to strive for personal excellence. Our aim is to develop these skills by challenging and cultivating creativity.
Our mission is to provide every student with an education that emphasizes the
creative process and a spontaneous visual learning experience which, allows an opportunity for artists to make their own choices.
They make choices based off the personal creativity, inspiration and passion that we foster at Priscilla & Tiffany's. We aim to give students a fresh perspective on how to be involved in the artistic community through the study of art. Our creative community at Priscilla & Tiffany's is curated by artists for artists.
When entering Priscilla & Tiffany's Art Studio, you will first be welcomed with an eclectic environment filled with soothing classical instrumental music.
The front of the studio provides a comfortable seating area for our parents as well as an art supply store stocked with materials designed to provide the students with the tools they need to begin creating. Beyond the red french doors students enter an area that fuels their innovative ideas. We have still life areas and a chalk board that is always updated with new and diverse art lessons.
Our classes are designed to teach students different techniques, from beginner to advanced levels. The order of techniques begins with sketching, charcoal, and pastel, and continues with watercolor, acrylic, oil, and mixed media. We also provide individual private and special portfolio preparation classes for students interested in entering magnet schools and university programs. Through our program students become informed on distinct art movements throughout history and the influential artists that influenced and impacted those movements.
No matter what technique the student is working on, teachers provide the students with 15 minutes at the beginning of class to solely focus on sketching and vocabulary building. At Priscilla & Tiffany's we strive to make the sketching technique a very important lesson at all levels, it gives our young artist a stronger understanding of values, proportion and shading. After the sketching session, students continue working on their most recent piece on individual easels. Once the piece is completed, students take their artwork home, along with a certificate of completion. The certificate states details of the student's progress during the project and other teacher notes.
Throughout each technique, artists have a list of projects they work on prior to advancing to the next medium; for example, landscape, animals, still life, etc. These projects provide the student with a variety of compositions and aid them in advancing to the next exciting technique.
